The Laser
Light Sources FOD 2107, 2108,
2110 series provide an optical output into
Singlemode or Multimode fiber of 0dBm (1mW) at 850,
1310 or 1550 nm. The spectral bandwidth is 5 nm.
Internal generator
270 Hz, Low battery indicator, Power safe mode.
The units are
supplied with FC, SC, ST,
or Universal 2.5 mm types of adaptors, internal
NiMH rechargeable batteries.
When combined
with FOD 1202 or FOD 1204 Power
Meters, the pair offer CATV, telecom and datacom
professionals a low-cost fiber optic measurement system
for network testing and maintenance applications.
The Laser
Light Source comes complete with a soft carrying
case and a Power Supply Unit.
The LED
Light Source FOD 2115 differs from other sources
by using an LED at wavelengths 850 and 1300 nm as
a light emitter. At lower price the source allows
to avoid gross error usually arising with use of laser
diodes when measuring multimode fibers.
FOD 2115
is intended for measurement of attenuations in local
multimode networks and guarantees complete loading
of a fiber, imitate work real LAN transmitters. Battery
lifetime is longer than 60 hours.

The FOD 2114
provides three wavelengths: 1310&1550 nm in one
port and 650nm 1mW in another port for Visual Fault
Locator.
The FOD 2114
uses internal NiMH rechargeable batteries. Power Supply
unit is included as are the interchangeable adapter
heads and an adapter of choice.
